June 27th, 2002 Newsletter

We've been extremely busy and have been getting our inventory up and have started our summer art show circuit. Check out our show schedules at the bottom of this page and maybe find the time to stop by and say hello:

If you've been checking BermanGraphics you'll see that we've been adding new content pages. The five largest new articles are:

1 - An interview with sports photographer Neil Leifer whose images have graced over 200 covers of Sports Illustrated and Time Magazine since the 1960's. http://bermangraphics.com/press/leifer.htm
A great read, coming in at over 10,000 words, this will be the only place where you can read it in it's unedited form - months before it will be published in Shutterbug Magazine. It's a nice addition to our ongoing series of interviews that include Jay Maisel, Pete Turner and Ralph Gibson, and Freeman Patterson.

2 - Photoshop 7 - What the published experts think:

3 - Selling Photography at Art Shows, an in-depth look at the industry:

4 - The CoolPix 5000 Review for Shutterbug Magazine’s June 2002 issue and an extensive list of resources for Nikon's 5 megapixel gem:

5 - Larry’s wonderful CoolPix 5000 gallery from a three week trip to the national parks in Arizona and Southern Utah:

He’s also offering two of his best images for sale at his production cost as unmounted 8x10 Frontier prints on Fuji Crystal Archive paper. See just what Nikon's CoolPix 5000 can really do when used properly:

Some of our additional projects:

Our article on shooting digital infrared ran as a cover story in the February issue of Shutterbug. Check out our companion web site at http://InfraredDreams.com

As usual, we list all the new articles at the top of the contents page on BermanGraphics

Our mini review of PMA 2002 lists some of our favorite new products which includes our recommendations for the best under $500 digital cameras. We've also expanded our image security tips to include a page about exactly what your legal rights are when a web site steals your images.
