| After three years of light duty, I started getting Banding on my Polaroid Sprintscan 4000 Scans |
| I keep the scanner turned off and covered with plastic to prevent dust from getting in. |

| You can clearly see the horizontal dark band through the center of the scanned image. This band was visible at any resolution I scanned in both Insight and VueScan. Therefore I consider it a hardware problem. I guess I'll be joining Tony Sleeps Filmscanners forum again to see if anyone else has reported this problem. |
Polaroid told me that it's a CCD problem and would
probably cost between $400 - $600 to repair, with a $125 estimate deducted
off the repair cost. Where is David Hemingway when we need him? Unfortunately David is no longer with Polaroid |
