| Most professional photographers
use the Arca Swiss mounting system. The CoolPix 5000 is shown here
mounted on the Arca Swiss B1 ball head with a custom plate
designed by
Kirk Photo.
As you can see in the pictures below, the plate takes up almost no
room on the bottom of the camera. It's also designed not to block
the battery compartment door and lets you use a standard 1/4x20
tripod head in an emergency. The lip is cut away for the lens
barrel and designed not to swivel. Like with the
Kirk plate for my CoolPix 990, this is one
accessory I'll be leaving on the camera all the time. |
