Infrared Conversion Information

I'm currently having LifePixel convert a CoolPix 8400 to shoot infrared

This may be helpful to others wanting to convert the Nikons. I had Rolyn Optics Company (888-626-8093) in Covina CA actually make an 11.3mm x9.92mm x 2.8mm thick(+/-0.1mm) BK7 window, for $75.00 with faces polished. They then shipped it to Kurt's Camera Repair, inc. in San Diego where they pulled out the ir blocking filter and put in the new Rolyn piece and adjusted the focus. Their charge was $125.00.
