Photographing Jewelry using The Cloud Dome

Diamond Ring photographed with the CoolPix 5000 and The Cloud Dome

I photographed my wife's diamond ring with the CoolPix 5000 and two SB-24 strobes bounced to reflect into The Cloud Dome. By moving the camera slightly further away from the ring I was able to keep the whole ring in focus. The universal bracket easily can be positioned in all three directions to allow centering of the camera lens over the opening it the top. It also works with my CoolPix 990. If you need professional looking close up pictures of small items, The Cloud Dome makes it easy. There is also an extension available to lift the dome up by an additional seven inches for larger items.
